Your Story

It has always been easier for our office to describe the value we provide our clients rather than define it. This is largely due to the fact that each client has their own unique story.  We will work to understand your story and your vision. Once we conceptualize your story we can effectively advise you. You can be assured that we will hold your story in confidence.

Our Experience

There are strategies that have universal application.  Investors only get to keep, spend or gift net returns.  Our wealth management focuses on seeking to maximize net returns for a given level of risk.  Some of these strategies such as reducing expected investment expenses and taxes can yield current benefits.

Personal income taxes have become increasingly more complicated, especially for high income earners.  High income earners can have their itemized deductions and personal exemptions reduced at specific income thresholds.  Additionally, high income earners can also be subject to the 3.8% investment tax.  It’s important to understand the relationship between investments, planning strategies, and their impact on your taxes.  After all, you can only save, spend or gift net returns.

Other strategies present themselves on an infrequent basis.  Investing involves emotion.  Most investors realize the need to take a long term and disciplined approach.  The difficult part of investing is staying disciplined during the best and worst times.  Abandoning a planned strategy during periods of market turbulence or chasing performance during periods of euphoria can be very costly.  As your advisor we can help you stay focused and disciplined even during turbulent times.

Your Story + Our Experience

Our office assists clients with their financial vision.  That vision could be planning for retirement, sending a child to college, managing wealth and effectively passing it to the next generation.  The truth is that life is not always predictable.  There are unforeseen needs, career changes, and even unexpected health deterioration.

The fictional Forrest Gump proclaimed, “Life is like a box of chocolates…you never know what you’re going to get”.  Life’s moments can indeed be sweet, semi-sweet or the bitter variety.  Our office recognizes this.
